Joining a sailing club is about much more than simply learning to sail. It’s about building confidence, having fun, meeting new people and becoming part of a friendly sailing community.
At Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club, we want every new member to develop at their own pace. There’s no pressure to become an expert overnight — sailing is a journey, and everyone starts somewhere.
Most importantly, you’ll meet other sailors, make new friendships and enjoy our social events, sailing evenings and plenty of laughs along the way.

"I have enjoyed every moment. The club has been incredibly welcoming and fun, but at the same time I’ve learnt so much about sailing and the rules.
I’ve developed the confidence to rig a boat and sail independently, while knowing there are always experienced members around if I need some advice.
Sailing is a journey, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes me next."
